So long, April! Do you ever notice that some months seem to fly by, right before your eyes? That is how April felt to me. I hope May takes it’s time considering it’s my son’s graduation month. (sigh)
This week was jam packed with great meetings and new opportunities…I love a week like that. It’s uplifting and motivating. There’s something about meeting new people that gives you a boost.
Even though my week was busy…I still found a few things to share as my favorites. Have a great weekend and take time to find the joy in each day.
☞ If you are not watching the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt…You are missing out on Titus Andromedan.
☞ I can’t stop listening to this album and people can’t stop using the lemon emoji.
☞ The fear of failure…and a good book rec.
☞ I don’t know how it happened….but I LOVE Snapchat. Follow me? allysontwiggs
Last Saturday was Spencer’s last Prom…so many ‘lasts’ in senior year. (sigh)
Maggie and Spencer
Another Friday is here and I have Prince music on repeat. I’m so sad by his passing…he was my Elvis, his music filled at least 30 plus years of my life. I had his posters in my room, I bought all his albums and I loved him. Not only is it immensely sad but we lost such a musical talent…there will never be another new Prince song and that hurts me the most.
So, here’s what I found this week but I hope you just listen to Prince music all day and dance with joy.
☞ Gen X’s Parenting Problem…I literally could have written this about my life.
☞ Want to be creative? Exercise.
☞ The history behind some of our favorite brands.
Was this the longest week in the history of longest weeks for anyone else…or just me? So glad it’s Friday! I had a great week of meetings and started work with a new client that I’m really excited about. I hope your week was productive and fun as well.
My favorite activity right now is to watch my tulips….I watched them bud, then bloom and now I’m watching to see how long I will have them. They are so beautiful. I love that I planted them in October then wait until spring to reap the reward…it’s a great reward! Spring gives us so many beautiful gifts.
Without further ado…here’s what turned my head this week.
☞ A great reminder to take care of ourselves.
☞ The Lion King cam…so cute!
☞ We Could All Use Time-Saving Systems
☞ More Great Book Recommendations for Creatives
☞ Sugar is the Devil.
There’s just something magical and fun about being on a college campus…I visited Lyon College this week with my son and I felt 20 years younger! Maybe we should all walk on campus every once in a while for a youthful jolt!
Spring has sprung, friends! Isn’t it a (achoo) beautiful time of year? I don’t mind the allergies because the tulips are just so pretty.
It’s been a great week…busy and productive AND I launched a website refresh for my business, The Twiggs Group. I’m so happy to have it launched and finishe….who am I kidding, a website is never finished.
Here are the good things I found this week:
☞ Great list of free stock photography sites.
☞ Practice Being Your Future Self.
☞ 12 Powerful Habits from Ultra-Successful Peeps
☞ Friends Forever Takes Work
I enjoyed watching the Connecticut Women’s Basketball team win their 4th consecutive National Championship…best program in the history of women’s basketball and Breanna Stewart is the best of all time.

Happy April Fools! I’m back from the Dominican Republic and no fooling…I want to move there and live on the beach. What a beautiful place! I will definitely be returning the next time I head out on a beach vacay.
The week after a vacation is always crazy busy and this week was exactly that for me…but I still managed to find some really cool stuff just for you.
☞ I’m always wondering how to pronounce fancy French stuff!
☞ 5 Books to get your creative juices flowing.
☞ Fun ways to track your travels…I love #4
☞ Buy coffee for the car behind you…it’ll be good for you.
☞ We gotta stop doing these 12 bad habits! I do at least half of these.
I’m excited to join Susannah Conway on her April Love project! Want to join me? I’m going to use Evernote (of course) to keep track of my days.
