Hello, Friday Friends! I hope you had a good week. This was my first empty nest week and well…I’m not ready to talk about that yet. ?
I am very excited to start teaching Destination Marketing next week at the University of Arkansas on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Being on campus in the Fall….that is definitely one of my favorite things!
Now, on to the good stuff:
☞ Ways to optimize your computer for productivity…I really need some of these tools!
☞ Need to boost your creativity outside the office? Work from a coffee shop.
☞ Have you ever thought about utilizing a co-working space?
☞ Marketing Pros share their best advice for entrepreneurs.
☞ They had me at Ikea!
And…I’m still not ready to talk about it…but here’s a picture right before we left Spencer at Lyon College. (sigh)
Alas! Summer is coming to an end, which means my time here with The Twiggs Group is as well.
I am truly thankful for this experience and all that it has taught me. I feel that the skills I’ve learned and the work I have done has prepared me not only for my junior year classes but the real world and workplace.
I would not be here writing this if Allyson hadn’t taken me under her wing and showed me all the ins and outs of how she runs her business. Not only was she my “boss,” she was, and still is my mentor. She has helped guide me with tasks for The Twiggs Group, and she took the time to help me create my blog.
From sitting in on client meetings to managing social media accounts I can’t think of anything else I would’ve rather spent my summer doing. I really mean that too, I can’t express enough how prepared this internship made me for school, and more importantly life after school.
I hope you all enjoyed my posts about Snapchat and how to better understand and work through the app. It was so much fun being able to write about an app that I love and use every day.
As I continue my journey, I will keep all the lessons I’ve learned from this experience and use them in the workplace and the real world. The Twiggs Group will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m sad our time together has to end.
If you want to continue with me on my journey, be sure to follow my blog!
Hello, friends! It’s been a whirlwind in my world this week..how about your week? I’m so excited to tell you about Megaphone Summit…an influencer conference I help organize. If you are a blogger or want to be a blogger, if you work in social media marketing or want to work in social media marketing…this conference is for you! And did I mention…social media expert, Peg Fitzpatrick will be there too? It’s in Fayetteville, AR, Sept 9-11. Would love to hang with you there.
Now here are my favorites this week.
☞ Hotels to put on your bucket list!
☞ I desperately need a new headshot…here’s how to take your own.
☞ I still love Snapchat (? allysontwiggs) but Instagram Stories for business.
☞ I read about two books a week and this book was so good!
☞ I love the Olympics…here’s an awesome google listing of all the events.
Back to the whirlwind…have a great weekend!
PS: No Friday Favorites next week…I’ll be (sadly) moving my son into college.
