Isn’t that something that is so cool about this techy, interconnected world we live in? The potential for learning never ends.
Do you listen to podcasts? I try to…sometimes I really just need music to get my work brain going so I don’t always listen to podcasts as much as I should, but when I do, I always learn something new. Isn’t that something that is so cool about this techy, interconnected world we live in? The potential for learning never ends. And it’s at our fingertips! Anything you have ever wanted to know is out there…you just gotta go find it and a great way to find it is by listening to a good podcast.
But let’s be honest here; not all podcasts are created equal, and there’s some truly boring ones out there. Oh c’mon, you know what I’m talking about. If you are able to drown out a podcast or get halfway through it without realizing what it’s talking about, you are listening to the wrong podcast. For me, there are a couple of things I need to keep me listening to a podcast 1) A compelling (not annoying) voice…don’t come for me – not everyone has a voice for podcasting, people! 2) Excellent content…if they ramble (like on IG stories), I’m out. Inspire me, educate me, make me laugh, or I’m out.✌️
I have a few favorite podcasts that I do turn to when I’m in the mood, and I always read articles like these for podcast suggestions:
My go-to podcasts are:
1) The Goal Digger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher
I can’t get enough of JK…I soak up every word.
2) Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness
I love JVN and this podcast will really surprise you and enlighten you.
3) Lovett or Leave it/Pod Save America with Jon Lovett and Guests
Think weekly news, but fun and entertaining.
4) Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald
I love all things Housewives, and Heather scoops that gossip like a pro!
I know there are so many great podcasts out there, and I feel serious FOMO when I hear a friend mention one that I haven’t listened to. But there are only so many hours in a day, and my AirPods can only stay charged for so long! Podcasts and books on tape almost make me miss having a 45 minute commute everyday…I said almost, I’m not crazy!
If you have a podcast you LOVE and you think I would love it, too…email me!
